Rescission of Cuba's State Sponsor of Terrorism designation

The State Department rescinded Cuba's designation as a state sponsor of terrorism, effective May 29, 2015, after notifying Congress and receiving the required assurances that Cuba would not support international terrorism.

Removed the separate sanctions layer attached to the terrorism designation (restrictions on assistance, arms exports, and related controls) while the trade embargo and the Cuban Assets Control Regulations remained in force.
